The purpose of this Guide is to provide quick reference information about general indicators and warnings, production setups, and end products that are representative of plausible improvised chemical and biological agent production methods found in openly available literature. The handbook contains mock-up photographs and diagrams to assist security and response personnel in recognizing the telltale signs of improvised chemical or biological agent production, including the crude reagents and equipment used.
The Guide is a spiral bound, pocket sized (4.5” x 7”), 56 page booklet printed on waterproof paper and is available from the Government Printing Office (GPO). The Guide is available in packs of 5 books for $49.00.
The Guide is a restricted document, For Official Use Only (FOUO) and Law Enforcement Sensitive. It is available to Federal, State, and local governments and contractors to these agencies with the authorization of the sponsoring agency. Exceptions with justification and certification of security procedures are possible.
