December 23, 2008 BAA 08-Q-3028_OSD_Navy: The Human, Social, Cultural, and Behavior Modeling Program awarded a $1,399,029 contract to University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies to develop a system for both training and assessment of cross-cultural competence by enlisted and officer warfighters. 

December 23, 2008 BAA 08-Q-3028: The Human, Social, Cultural, and Behavior Modeling Program awarded a $1,640,488 contract to Soar Technology, Inc. to develop a
simulation-based analysis workbench that enables users to experiment with and analyze the effectiveness of various influence actions on target populations.

December 23, 2008 BAA 08-Q-3028: The Human, Social, Cultural, and Behavior Modeling Program awarded a $1,850,000 contract to the University of Central Florida to develop a training and analysis system that combines modeling and machine learning resources.

December 22, 2008 BAA 07-T-0155_APG: The Blast Effects Subgroup awarded a $628,378 contract to Battelle Memorial Institute to develop a database providing a comprehensive assessment of identified homemade explosive recipes to characterize the threat.

October 27, 2008: The Blast Effects Subgroup awarded a $1,597,272 contract to the University of Virginia to evaluate head forms used for testing personal protective equipment in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

October 16, 2008: The Blast Effects Subgroup awarded an initial $100,000 contract to APTEK to develop a web based Blast Mitigation Information System database in response to BAA 07-T-0155.  This database will allow end users to quickly locate blast related research, generate reports and run engineering models; all under one web-accessible interface.

September 30, 2008: The CBRNC Subgroup awarded a $183,912 contract to United Technologies Research Center for continued work on the Chem-Bio Improvement Building Design Protocol, a modeling tool to help building engineers design or retrofit structures against chemical or biological attack in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

September 22, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup awarded a $352,415 contract to 21st Century Technologies to develop an automated system for discovering and analyzing dramatic and dynamic changes within organizational structures over time in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

September 19, 2008: The Improvised Device Defeat Subgroup awarded a $270,695 contract to Applied Perception to develop a remote control package for use on the Kawasaki Mule, a widely fielded utility vehicle with federal, state, and local bomb squads in response to BAA 07-Q-4057.

September 17, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup awarded a $500,000 contract to the University of Southern California to develop an algorithmic toolkit to recognize and assist in the analysis of terrorist activities in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

September 4, 2008: The ED Subgroup awarded a $413,301 contract to Midwest Research Institute to develop a sampling system to collect and deliver trace particles and vapors of explosives to trace explosive detection systems in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

August 7, 2008: The CBRNC Subgroup awarded a $937,729 contract to Warwick Mills Inc. to develop a multi-purpose glove to protect public safety officers from cut, puncture, and pathogen threats while performing routine tasks in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

June 26, 2008: The Improvised Device Defeat Subgroup awarded a $728,000 contract to Black-I Robotics to develop, test, and evaluate a low cost and robust unmanned ground vehicle system in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

June 7, 2008: The Physical Security Subgroup awarded a $718,486 contract to S4 Tech Inc. to develop a new Digital Observation Guard, a rapidly deployable self-contained security and surveillance system in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

May 15, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup awarded a $272,966 contract to FLIR Systems, Inc for development of the Rooftop Surveillance System for observation and human discovery at long range in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

May 12, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup awarded a $524,271 contract to Patton Electronics to develop the Modular Surveillance Toolkit supporting vehicular and fixed surveillance in response to BAA 07-T-0155.  The man-portable toolkit will offer video and audio capture and uplink to a remote command center via cellular networks. 

April 29, 2008: CBRNC awarded a $995,819 contract to Cantimer, Inc. to develop a microelectromechanical based sensor to assess the hydration status and rehydration needs of fire fighters, HAZMAT technicians, police officers and other response personnel in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

March 24, 2008: The Explosives Detection Subgroup awarded a $400,000 contract to GE Global Research to study techniques for increased detection probabilities and decreased false alarm rates in explosives detection systems for checked baggage in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

March 21, 2008: The Investigative Support and Forensics Subgroup awarded a $1,356,727 contract to Courage Services, Inc. to design and develop a prototype video and image analysis system to identify geographic locations depicted in insurgent media in response to BAA 07-T-0155.

March 17, 2008: Booz-Allen Hamilton, Tampa, Florida, was awarded a contract to provide a multiphase operational analysis of the current, near term, and future communications capabilities in response to BAA 07-Q-4057. Award value is $479,798 for the 11-month effort.

February 2, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup (VIP) awarded a $644,917 contract to Platinum Solutions, Inc. for the development of a secure web-based application that will assist protective teams in their responsibilities of planning, detailing, and organizing protective operations in response to BAA 07-T-0043. 

January 31, 2008: The VIP Protection Subgroup (VIP) awarded a $232,498 contract to Lewis Innovative Technologies, Inc. to develop the Wireless Emergency Vehicle Kit (WEVK) in response to BAA 07-T-0043. The WEVK will consist of four lights, one siren, and a remote controller to wirelessly operate the components.

January 31, 2008: The Investigative Support and Forensics Subgroup awarded a $388,000 contract to Drexel University’s Data Fusion Laboratory to test reliability and proficiency of forensic document examiners compared to laypersons in analyzing disguised handwriting and faxed documents in response to BAA 07-T-0043.

January 31, 2008: Lewis Innovative Technologies was awarded a contract to develop a wireless emergency vehicle kit in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $276,309 for the 11-month effort.

January 31, 2008: Platinum Solutions, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop a secure web portal to assist in protection team planning in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $644,917 for the 11-month effort.

January 25, 2008: Drexel University was awarded a contract to study forensic document analysis and assess reliability and proficiency comparisons in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $388,000 for the 24-month effort.

December 3, 2007: The Explosives Detection Subgroup awarded a $550,000 contract to Material Intelligence, LLC for development of a suicide bomber detection system in response to BAA 06-Q-5570.

December 27, 2007 – Applied Research Associates, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop a miniaturized camera boom for MTRS robotic platforms. Award value is $764,705.00 for the 24-month effort.

December 3, 2007 – Material Intelligence was awarded a contract for suicide bomber detection system in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $2,587,008 for the 12-month effort.

November 8, 2007 – Armorworks, Inc. was awarded a contract to design an enhanced personal armor system in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $134,614 for the 11-month effort.

November 5, 2007 – 3rd Ring was awarded a contract to develop and demonstrate a portable data extraction software tool in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $377,526 for the 9-month effort.

November 2, 2007 – Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc. was awarded a contract to investigate and analyze the impact of CT X-Ray explosives detection systems image quality on false alarm rates in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $2,575,524 for the 12-month effort.

September 27, 2007 – Northrup Grumman Corporation was awarded a contract to develop a laser photothermal interferometry technique for explosives detection. Award value is $211,529 for the 8-month effort.

September 24, 2007 – University of Florida was awarded a contract to design, develop, demonstrate, and evaluate a model for an immersive cultural learning environment in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $664,449.00 for the 19-month effort.

September 20, 2007 – Wilcox Industries Corporation was awarded a contract to develop a self-contained tactical cutting torch that can be hand carried by tactical operators. Award value is $21,897 for the 9-month effort.

September 18, 2007 – BBN Technologies was awarded a contract to develop tools to assist in foreign language and cultural knowledge awareness in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $1,106,650 for the 32-month effort.

September 18, 2007 – Corporation for National Research Initiatives was awarded a contract to develop a technology-assisted language learning concept in response to BAA 07-T-0043. Award value is $499,734 for the 12-month effort.

September 10, 2007 – Tactical Support Equipment, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop and demonstrate a compact amplifier and antenna in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $230,491 for the 11-month effort.

August 1, 2007 – Zephyr Technology Limited was awarded a contract for development of a combat patient monitoring system in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $730,801 for the 4-month effort.

July 31, 2007 – Spectrum San Diego, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop a low dose, high-throughput vehicle X-ray inspection system in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $1,613,121 for the 22-month effort.

July 20, 2007 – Rafael Armament Development Authority, Ltd. was awarded a contract to conduct oeprational evaluations and anaylze muzzle flash detection systems. Award value is $1,409,715 for the 9-month effort.

July 16, 2007 – Technical Products Inc. was awarded a contract to develop, test, and demonstrate a portable cooled/heated canine Kennel. Award value is $170,600 for the 8-month effort.

July 5, 2007 – Regal Decision Systems, Inc. was awarded a contract for a computer based training tool in response to BAA 06-T-0032. Award value is $754,521 for the 10-month effort.

July 2, 2007 – Coda Octopus Group, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop, test, and deploy a real-time, three-dimensional echoscope sonar system to detect port and hull security threats in response to BAA 07-Q-4057. Award value is $8,184,257 for the 19-month effort.

May 21, 2007 – Raytheon Company was awarded a contract to develop a system that will alert operators to the existence, nature, and extent of cyber attacks in response to BAA 06-T-0032. Award value is $660,943 for the 12-month effort.

May 11, 2007 – Tidewater Machine Company con was awarded a contract to develop robotic tools that increase capabilites in current robotic platforms. Award value is $81,850. for the 2-month effort.

May 4, 2007 – Physical Optics Corporation was awarded a contract to develop night vision goggle enhancements in response to BAA 06-Q-5570. Award value is $2,183,592 for the 9-month effort.

April 26, 2007 – Specialty Products, Inc. was awarded a contract to develop simplified uses for spray-on polymers in response to BAA 07-Q-4057. Award value is $631,619 for the 12-month effort.

March 12, 2007 – OI Analytical was awarded a contract to develop a system that will detect the contamination of field or domestic water supply systems with organic substances in response to BAA 06-T-0032. Award value is $709,883 for the 18-month effort.

March 8, 2007 – Battelle Memorial Institute was awarded a contract to provide operational guidelines for using a drive-by backscatter van to detect explosives and other potential threats concealed in vehicles, packages, and on individuals. Award value is $341,753 for the 12-month effort.
